As cliche as it sounds, Eric and Lauren fell in love at first sight! They met by a twist of fate in a local bar, in the very hometown they both spent their whole lives in. Although they had never spoken before that night, they were never more than a few miles apart growing up. And they were already connected in more ways than one. It truly was a meet-cute out of a Hollywood rom-com. Their first look at each other changed their lives, and their first date sealed the deal. They have been inseparable ever since!

Some of the couples' favorite memories over the last six years include caring for their beloved cat and heir to the throne, Willow, watching old movies together, hammocking and napping in the trees of Glenwood Gardens, going on hikes and long car rides, camping under the stars, listening to each others' favorite vinyls, watching Lauren sing and act all over Cincinnati, going to their beautiful beach house every summer with friends and family, making short films, conquering music festivals, and, most recently, taking on the big adventure of living in Chicago together!

Eric proposed to Lauren at the Alpine Valley Ski Resort after a long and wintery weekend of ski lessons, long johns, laughter, the occasional wipeout, and a newfound passion they could share together. The trip would eventually end with Lauren's first ever black diamond run, a fireside dinner to celebrate, and a romantic night in the Lodge before Eric finally got down on one knee. After emphatically crying, "IT'S SO PRETTY", Lauren said yes, yes, a thousand times yes! They absolutely cannot wait for this exciting chapter in the grand story of their lives. ♡
